Norwell’s show choirs continued their unbeaten 2012 run Saturday, topping their respective groups at the 3rd annual Northridge Choral Invitational.
For the fourth week in a row, Norwell won both its Small Mixed and Women’s division competitions.
In the Small Mixed Division, Norwell’s Knight Moves (20-0 for 2012) out-pointed Bishop Dwenger, Columbia City, Fairfield and Lakeland. There was only won additional caption award presented in this competition, with Norwell winning the Best Visual Effect award.
In the Women’s Division, the Knight Stars (13-0) headed off choirs from Columbia City, Bishop Dwenger, Northrop and Taylor.
Once again, a Best Visual Effect caption award was presented – and won by Norwell.
The Northridge competition also featured a special Solo Division competition entitled Cabaret Cafe. Norwell’s Gavin Drew won this competition.
A special award was also given to the Best Technical (backstage) Crew, with Norwell also taking this award.
The Knight Moves and Knight Stars will look to build on their success Saturday at Fairfield, Ohio, before hosting the annual Norwell Invitational on March 10.
