The Knight Stars led the way for Norwell at Edgewood's "Contest of Champions" on Saturday.
With show choirs from Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio and even Alabama, competing, this was one tough competition. The Knight Stars still came out on top in the Women's Division however, while the Knight Moves were pipped into second runner-up by Loveland and Whiteland. Individual Best Performer awards went to Brittany Blazier (Knight Stars) and Paige Meyer (Knight Movves).
That wasn't all however, as Alyssa Meyer won the Solo competition with "The Light in the Piazza". It was a busy day for Alyssa, with five performances in all - one for the Knight Moves, two for the Knight Stars who also appeared on the evening show, and two solo performances! No wonder she had her eyes closed when the celebratory photo was being taken.
The Knight Sounds also took third runner-up in the Middle School competition, with Alivia Topp named as Best Performer.
Season records stand at Knight Stars 19-1 and Knight Moves 16-2. Both have won two Grand Champion awards.
Next stop Shelbyville on Saturday!
