The Adams Central Independents Winter Guard wrapped up its competition season at Center Grove Saturday with a gold rating at the state championships.
A total of 16 gold and six silver ratings were awarded in the Independents' AAA Class. Other area schools earning gold were Jay County, Northrup, Northside and Woodlan. In Class B, Heritage earned a silver rating, and in Class AA (held at Franklin Central), Bishop Dwenger, Carroll, East Noble and Heritage all earned gold, while Wabash and Columbia City earned silver.
