What Will They Do Without Their Music?

Norwell’s show choirs wrapped up another year of success with their end of year “Reflections” show at the high school auditorium Friday and Saturday evening.

The five graduating seniors – Alyssa Noble, Hannah Porrata, Katie and Veronica Runyon and Leslie Sagstetter – combined to ask “What Would I Do Without My Music” as their final moments on stage counted down. Katie Runyon has been a part of the Norwell program for four years, while the other four are all seven-year show choir veterans.

Norwell’s Knight Moves, Knight Stars and Knight Sounds show choirs all reprised their 2012 competition shows as part of the performance, with several additional solo and duets performances culminating in a two-and-a-half-hour showcase of some of the county’s best young talent.

Noble, both Runyon sisters, Sagstetter, Lauren Fiechter, Addy Johnson, Emily Lampton, Bailey Nodine, Hannah Pfaff, Katie Spear and Preston Wright, all performed solo.

The Runyon sisters also teamed up to perform “My Sister, My Friend” as a special duet, while other duet performances matching up Lauren Fiechter and Hannah Pfaff,

Vocalist Tara Hughes was accompanied on the guitar by Caleb Stoller.

The five seniors and also Maddie Boyle, Sarai Case, Gavin Drew, Sara Eubank, Johnson, Kiri Kobelja, Lampton, Courtney Mader, Nodine, Alex Prince, Taylor Siples, Chloe VanRyn all featured in either solo, duet or trio segments within a larger chorus performance.

Saturday’s show ended with the traditional recognition of the graduating seniors and their parents.

Photos and video, from Saturday evening, as well as backstage footage from Friday evening, will be posted here over the coming week. (Please be patient as we have over 150 photos and some two hours of video to work through!)
