The Southern Wells show choir program hosted its final event of the year Saturday, farewelling six seniors who have played a major role in the program.
Pictured above from left, Chelsea Smith, Jenny Lloyd, Megan Hook, Jade Sisler, Emily Pinkerton, and Chelsea Mossburg all began their involvement with show choir at Southern Wells under Sue Coolman’s direction. Coolman stepped down from her role last year, with Jean Hughes taking over, and a new set of responsibilities for the senior leadership.
The talents of the six were showcased in the program’s final two performances of the year, both of which took place Saturday. The seniors chose the songs, performed the choreography and selected the decorations. Each senior was responsible for choreography for one group song, and Smith, Lloyd, Mossburg and Sisler also performed solo routines.
Students Chelsea Clifton, herself a member of the show choir, and Aaron Douglass emceed the show.
The evening performance concluded with a recognition ceremony for the seniors, organized by their parents and the junior members of the choir.
Photos and video from Saturday evening will be posted here over the course of the coming week.
