Norwell Bids Farewell To Nine Seniors at 'Be Our Guest'

Norwell’s show choir program hosted its final event of the year over the weekend, farewelling a group of seniors who have formed a solid core of the program dating back to their years at middle school.

“Be Our Guest” was presented in the high school auditorium on Friday and Saturday evening, with the  contributions to the program made by the nine departing seniors, and their family members, being celebrated in a special ceremony at the end of Saturday evening’s show.

“This group of seniors is a very, very special one,” enthused Director, Carla Doles. “This was the first group of middle school show choirs that we started. ‘Jazz’ (Justin Feichter) was with me when we started that, and you’ve seen what has happened to them since then. They’re just amazing. I’m so proud of them, and wish them every success in their future careers.”

(Pictured above from left to right) Brandi Albright, Brittany Blazier, Katelyn Johnson, Cameron Konuch, Blake Lampton, Taylor Morris, Austin Quintana, Travis Stove and Erica Tucker made their final appearances with the Knight Moves and Knight Stars Saturday evening.

Lampton thanked parents and supporters of the choir for their contributions to the program on behalf of the students, and to Doles, Feichter and Ben McBride, who directed the “Knight  Moves” to an undefeated 2010 season in small choir competition.

To Doles, Lampton extended a special message of thanks.

“You’ve taught many of us since we were in middle school. Thank you for the passion in music and the excellence you have instilled in us. Thank you for the many thankless hours you have put into the  program. Thank you for helping us to believing in ourselves and our group. Thank you for helping to shape us into  what we have become.”

Photos and video, from Saturday evening will be posted on this site over the course of the coming week.
