First of all, the difference between "marching drum lines" and "concert drum lines", as demonstrated by Hagerstown Indoor Percussion Ensemble (black uniforms with a green circle) and Monroe Central Percussion Ensemble (a concert group).
The marching drum lines incorporate a lot of movement, and even some dance into their routine, while the concert group concentrates on just the musical side of the performance.
