Norwell Drum Line Places Second In Season Opener

Norwell winter drum line section leaders Tanner Tuttle, Palmer Durr and Corey Schisler proudly display the trophy they won after placing second at the opening competition of the season at Franklin Central High School on Saturday. (Thanks to Norwell Music Boosters for providing the photo.)

Norwell competed against six other drum lines, with East Central, Plainfield, Decatur Central, Greenfield and Franklin Central turning out. The home team took top honors at the competition.

Norwell’s 2009 program features the music of “Kansas”.

The drum line’s next scheduled event is at the Norwell High School gymnasium on Feb. 28, when Norwell hosts its fifth Annual Indoor Percussion Invitational. The Invitational will start at 2:00 p.m. and 36 drum lines from around the state are scheduled to appear. Admission is $5.00 at the door.
