Local Musicians Find New Stage to Develop Their Talent

The King's Place, next to the courthouse on West Market Street, opened its doors to local musicians Saturday evening with the first of what is planned to be regular Jamfests, offering local musicians an opportunity to develop their craft in front of a supportive, audience.

Members of the Higginbottom family, performing as the band Chartisus Invincible, along with Tom Cushman, Alex Cushman, Arthur Mock, Casey Fritz and Taylor White performed a mix of their own, and other artist's compositions before starting up an impromptu jam session. Pictured above, Casey Fritz takes to the drums, while Tom Cushman and Arthur Mock beat out "Firebird" on their guitars.

The next Jamfest is scheduled for Saturday, March 14. If you would be interested in performing, contact Vivian Drennen at The King's Place.
