Bluffton's Show Choir Boosted by Wal-Mart Grant


Bluffton's show choir program received a helping hand from Wal-Mart in the form of a $500 grant toward their season expenses. Pictured holding the check are, front row from left, Lexie Garrett, Taylor Coratti, Jenna Feeback, Kristan Brinneman and Aja Hurst; back row from left, Lizvette Echevarria, Caitie Campbell, Aaron Carr, Show Choir Director Elyse Breeding, Donald Mock, Chelsea Elliott and Vanessa Young. 


The show choir will open its season with an exhibition performance at Street Fair Thursday evening (Sept. 23). Other events on the calendar include: 


- Saturday, Oct. 16: Mini show choir camp will be offered to students in grades K-5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 


- Wednesday, Oct. 20: "Fall Show" at the high school at 6 p.m.  Candy and cookie dough sales will also help funding. 


- Wednesday, Dec. 15: The Christmas performance will be on December 15th at the high school. 


- Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30: Dinner theatre will be presented.


- Wednesday, May 4: "Spring Concert" 


The choir competition schedule is still to be announced.
