Northern Wells Community Schools Host 'Music Extravaganza'
Northern Wells Community Schools’ most musically talented strutted their stuff at the high school Saturday evening in the annual “Music Extravaganza.”
Band, drum lines, and show choirs from Norwell middle and high schools, plus Ossian and Lancaster elementary schools all performed in a show that helped raised funds for the school system’s music programs.
In addition to group performances, a number of students also showcased their talents with solo spots. Alivia Tapp, Hannah Pfaff, Katie Spear, Emily Lampton, Chloe Price, Mariah Meier, Leslie Sagstetter (pictured above), Eli Harter, Mary Grace O’Neal, Noah Tobias and Kieran Vieth all featured in this capacity. Vocalist Tara Hughes was accompanied by Caleb Stoller on the guitar, while Kiri Kobelja, Tess McBride and Emily Miller combined for a flute ensemble performance, Christian Bohata and Josh Whitney teamed up for a trumpet/sax duet, and Katie Brandewie and Claire Johnson performed a flute/clarinet duet.
Video from the event will be posted here on the “Showtime” blog over the next few days.
