It’s official.
Wells County will have two marching bands competing at this year’s State Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.
Both Bluffton and Norwell successfully continued on their way to the championships with gold medal winning performances at their respective Regional Championships.
Bluffton competed in the Class D semi-state championships at Franklin Community High School this past weekend, while Norwell competed in the Class C equivalent at Decatur Central in Indianapolis. This will be the 13th consecutive year Norwell has qualified for the State Champs.
Bluffton will compete at Lucas Oil Stadium at 11:44 a.m., while Norwell will compete at 6:27 p.m.
The full list of schools that have qualified for classes C and D are as follows:
Class C: Beech Grove, Concordia Lutheran, Edgewood, Fairfield, Gibson Southern, Heritage Hills, Leo, North Harrison, Norwell and Western.
Class D: Bluffton, Eastern (Greentown), Forest Park, Lewis Cass, Mater dei, Monrovia, North Posey, Paoli, Springs Valley and Woodlan.
