Summit City Singers seek new members

The Summit City Singers, a 60+ member community choir, is recruiting new members as fall rehearsals begin.

Male and female singers, high school age through adult, who enjoy singing a variety of SATB music are invited, the organization said in a news release.....

Cari Ray comes to Bluffton!

Cari Ray band was the featured performer at Sunday's Kehoe Park Concert and she brought the house down (or at least the pavillion!) If you enjoyed the show, visit her website and learn more about this up and coming musical star.

Whether performing solo or with her band, The Loaners, Cari Ray is a singer/songwriter and performer who stops audiences in their tracks and has critics sitting up to pay attention. Her lyrical conversations are raw, real and decidedly uncomplicated. Words like “pitch-perfect” and “Gibraltar- solid” are often used to describe her unique, rich voice. Cari’s soulful originals have been compared with the work of artists from Bonnie Raitt to Lucinda Williams to Sheryl Crow. In addition to garnering regional radio play, she’s appeared with national talent from Doug Stone to Terri Clark.

Norwell Show Choir Hosting Golf Fundraiser

Norwell’s show choirs are inviting entries for their “Florida Scramble” golf outing and fundraiser at Timber Ridge on Aug. 21.

 

Teams of four are invited to participate, and there will also be door prizes, 50/50 drawing, skins game and Mulligans for purchase. 

 

The cost is $55 per person. 

 

A shotgun start will take place at 2 p.m.
