Norwell Show Choirs' "Christmas Magic" (Post 1 of 7)

The Norwell high and middle school choirs treated supporters to a touch of “Christmas Magic” Sunday afternoon.

The two hour show featured a mix of traditional Christmas carols and other popular songs, with special appearances by Santa Claus, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman.

Two performances of the show were held, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., with dinner and a chance to shop for Christmas presents in between on offer.

Erica Tucker opened the show with a rendition of “Silent Night”, accompanied on the piano by Travis Store.

Solo performances were given by Bekah Coolman, Paige Meyer, Brandi Albright, Hannah Pfaff, Katie Runyon, Cassie Welches, Alexis Hathawy, Chelsea Sorg and Alivia Topp.

Alyssa Noble, Abby Pfaff and Leslie Sagstetter joined forces for “One Small Child”, while Brittany Blazier and Cam Konuch teamed up to perform “The World Is Alive,” and Lauren Fiechter and Blake Lampton teamed for “O Holy Night” and Bailey Nodine and Addie Johnson combined for “The Prayer.”

Solo performances that were part of group routines were given by Missy Nolan, Emily Lampton, and Teyler Siples.

Proceeds from the dinner, auction, and show will be used to help fund the upcoming show choir season, as well as purchase needed items for the choirs.

"Christmas Magic" at Norwell Sunday

There will be a touch of “Christmas Magic” on display at Norwell High School this weekend.

Sunday, Dec. 13, will see the Norwell Show Choirs, both high and middle schools, present their Holiday Christmas Show, “Christmas Magic.”

Two shows will be performed, starting at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A Christmas dinner will also be served between shows at 5 p.m.  The shows will include appearances by Santa Claus, Frosty, and Rudolph, and traditional Christmas carols will also be performed.

There will also be a “Silent Night Auction” for last minute Christmas shoppers. These gift baskets, offered through a silent auction, will be filled with goodies donated by the community and show choir parents. A Candy Cane Alley, with individual holiday treats, will be sold,  along with Hot Chocolate and Specialty coffees served by the Brew Ha.

Families will be able to enjoy a dessert and coffee between shows or after the dinner.

Tickets for the show only, cost $8 and may be purchased at the door.

Tickets for the dinner and show cost $15, and may be purchased ahead by calling Fritzi Nodine, 260-414-9414.

Proceeds from the dinner, auction, and show will be used to help fund the upcoming show choir season, as well as purchase needed items for the choirs.

Breakfast With Santa (Post 2 of 2)

Breakfast With Santa (Post 1 of 2)

The Norwell Show Choirs and Ossian Elementary School hosted "Breakfast With Santa" Saturday morning, drawing a huge crowd of young (and not so young as our photos will show) who wanted to visit Santa Claus.

Children were also able to purchase gifts for family members at $2 per gift, with show choir members and supporters helping with gift wrapping.
